I've got a cycle I really enjoy riding - its nothing like the one that you all have, just a bog-standard Reebok Voyager from Halfords.
It was cheap, looks good and does what its supposed to.

However, I find the handlebars too short (does that make sense?)
I've seen photos of the dutch-style bikes where the handlebars snake round to face the rider and they look SO much more comfortable than the ones I have now.

My questions are...
  • Is it straightforward to change the bars over?
  • Where is the best place to get some from?
  • Are they as comfortable as they look?
Thanks for the help/advice in advance!
Oh, I use the cycle for occasional rides to work and weekend/eveing leisure riding so no racing or thundering down mountains!

Good evening Monsieur. It is quite easy to change the handlebars, but, there are always some buts. As long as the new ones are the same diametre as the old ones. If they arn't then you will have to buy a new stem as well. Also, the cables may need to be replaced as the bars you want will be wider so may need longer cables for the brakes and gears. Go to your LBS and have a chat with them, they will give you the info you need.
