Meh, I needed a new watch battery, and wanted to go for a lunchtime ride, but I fancied hammering along trails and my derailleur needs adjusting so I decided to nip into town in the car for speed, come home and sort out gears then load up the bike and head out.

I'm now sat in my car, in Yarm high street waiting for the RAC... Meh :-(

Back now, tried to sort out the gears on my bike but gave up in disgust (and ran out of time). Just can't seem to get the little sprocket to select. Possibly a combination of cheap mech, heavy handed adjustment and inexperience. Time to ring the LBS
