They were doing no more than 18mph on the flat. I really didn't want to catch them tbh. Three ladies in the group and a disabled guy who had a carbon fibre leg, clipped in.9 of them were on identical bikes, full gb sky kit, so if they were mamils the worst case I have ever seen. Got the impression they were riding somewhere rather than training.
You sure he was 'disabled' and not just taking carbon weight-weenie fetishism to the next level?
This happened to me years ago when I rode past a bunch of guys on Look bikes wearing La Vie Claire kit. The giveaway was the guy at the back with a rolling beer belly.
Then some years later, I was riding in Tenerife when a group of guys on Giant bikes all dressed in Once kit were taking it easy in Puerto de la Cruz.
Then I recognised one of the riders. Big tall guy with fair hair and thick glasses. Alex Zulle....
Then some years later I was riding round the car park at a hotel in Dublin when a crowd of chaps on Treks all dressed in USPS kit were riding round in circles changing gears every few seconds.

That looks like the leg and it was his right one! They definitely were not trying. I doubt I could catch a group club ride let alone a serious group of racers. I wonder what they were all doing riding through Knutsford and Tatton Park.
