I just bought this!?

So I saw this on the bay. I just thought that looks kind of nice. The asking price was 130 so I offered 90 and was accepted. It's Steel obviously but 700c Wolber rims and 105 hubs(?) So obviously rebuilt wheels. I like the lugless frame and the wienman centre pulls take me back. I like the idea of it... An old school winter bike. Am I mad do you think?

Looks good for a bike that's seen a few decades . Sort of reminds me of a Carbolite Peugeot?

Are you going to keep the 'patina' look or give it a bit of a makeover?

I think I'll probably strip it, give it a scrub, polish the alloy bits, plenty of lubrication and that's it. Chuck a rack on it look for an old caradice saddlebag, strap a cape on the back with old toe straps and then go on the hunt for some carbon haha

You’re not mad but I think you’ve probably paid a bit too much for it, you’ll end up spending far more that it’s worth. I speak from experience!
