I have trigger gears and they are jammed

My trigger gears are jammed first they kept missing the bottom cog now they will not do any thing at all they are jammed solid any advice would be appreciated

Is it the trigger shifter or the rear mech (derailleur) that's jammed?

Could be quite a few things, Rust, Dirt, a few strands of the cable might have broken and have unwound and are jamming in the Outer Cable, or even the Jockey wheels have frozen up with mud and oil from the chain. best to strip the Mech down, and service it, and check the cables, and renew the inner and or the both inner and outer cable as cheap enongh. genearlly from my experainces the rear mechs are fairly bomb proof, unless you crunch it a tad whilst out on the trail.

Did you try adjusting them when they first started to go wrong? Could you have overtightened one of the stops? I'd clean and lubricate it then try a bit of gentle tweaking of the screw adjusters on the mechanism.

Try whats in posts 4 & 5, the options really are cable siezed, limit stops adjusted so it cant shift, or dirt. Beyond that something's snapped or twisted but those are unusual and should be obvious once you've taken the mech off and cleaned it up.
