Hi

This is my fourth week commuting to work (all 6 miles each way). I've noticed today that the muscles in my legs are now showing more, YAY. Also, when riding in today I realised I was using higher gears than when I started. Soon I'll get past 10mph average. I'm eating a bit more healthily and can already feel the benefits.

I've managed to clock up just over 140miles so far on the MTB but am already looking into a half decent road bike.

Anyway enough of my mutterings, just thought I'd share this with you !!

Cheers
Gary

Good effort, Gaz!

Nothing wrong with mutterings here; that's what we all do! :birthday:

Do you just cycle to commute or do you ride for pleasure, too?

It'll soon become a way of life, with commuting not being enough. You're already feeling and seeing the health benefits, but the (sorry for the cliche) feel-good factor and sense of well-being will be much greater, too.

And you'll want to upgrade your bike, and then have a list of 'must-buy' bikes!

Mainly commuting at the moment, however I have down a couple of 12milers for pleasure and intend to do some more soon.

Shhhh, don't tell the wife about a list of bikes :birthday:

Well done Gaz! :birthday:

It's always great to hear about people who are just starting to enjoy commuting to work by bike. It really is the best way to get to work, and to arrive feeling awake and alive!

Keep it up and before long you will be actively searching for the biggest hill to cycle up!
