When I cycle over bridges I tend to feel a bit giddy. What is it due to? Half past the bridge I become normal. I have resumed cycling after a long gap. Is it due to the time gap? I have not consulted a doctor though.

Is it just bridges and not hills? Could it be a touch of vertigo?

Well I hope it is not so. It stops when I am half the distance on the bridge. I feel normal afterwards. It is peculiar though.

Could it be that after you are half-way across, you are much closer to the opposite bank and feel more assured? Sounds like Vertigo.
