I helped to source a nice used hybrid fot a friend. The deal included a workstand and some tools and he gave them to me. Included with the tools was this:

I have no idea what it is, have you?
No maker's marking on it
Red bit at the end is fived
The othrt red bit is movable along a screw thread
There is a scale stanped on one side, lower in the cenre and increasing to the left
What is it?

Is the white bit like a giant wingnut and linked to the left red bit? From the scale it looks like its measuring the distance between the outside edges of the red blocks.

You should invent a use and a name for it if nobody knows

The wingnut turns the screw which moves the centre red thingy, the end red thingy is fixed

Looking at the range of measurements I would say it is for checking, or maybe even spreading, the distance between the drop outs of the frame/forks?
