I completed the British Heart Foundation 36 mile off road ride through Sherwood Pines and Clumber Park.

WOW... hard work!! Took me 6 hours due to helping someone who came off, and one of the team I was in having an injury which slowed us down. I was so glad to see the lady with the medals!

I loved it though, longest ride i've done before was a 12.5 mile on the flat with a bit of a head wind. This was certainly a challenge!

I'm currently looking at some other off road trails I can do. I've fallen in love with biking!!

Thanks guys.

The weather was great Pete, nice and dry. Couple of really light showers but nothing to moan about.

Looking into getting into mountain biking. Although it was really long, I really enjoyed the technical bits

I did this ride too! Glad you enjoyed it.

Ah fab, did you enjoy it? The last part back in Sherwood Pines was a bit of a killer! Did you go up to the main road after the fishing lake like I did on the way out to Clumber? A few of us ended up up there scratching our heads

Did you see the car in stuck in the forest, or had you got back by then?

I got back about 1.30 I think, didn't see the car in the forest.

I really enjoyed it but was riddled with punctures so the last leg was a bit of a nightmare having to keep stopping to pump up my tyres. I loved the hilly bits but founds the downhill parts quite daunting as people whizzed down so fast and close! Think that's why I preferred the hilly bits as all the daredevils seemed to lose their gumption and were getting off to push so we got a nice clear run.

I honestly couldn't tell you where we went after the fishing pond, think we went under a couple of bridges that were really gravelly. That last bit is a bit of a blur as I was concentrating on keeping my tyres full of air and getting back as quickly as possible before they gave up the ghost!

My friend and I raised over £300 between us though for BHF which we were chuffed to bits with!

Glad you had a good day, we met some fab people.
