Strictly speaking I am not a beginner, been cycling for 4 years now.
I'm just a slow learner, and generally a slow cyclist
Today I managed to drink on the go, picking up the water bottle while I was riding :becool:
Also today, I have managed to adjust a rubbing disk brake, fit a pair of fiddly mudguards, descend a particularly steep and twisty canal bit without freezing half way down.
Better late than never!
Whatever your level of experience, post your little cycling victories here! :okay:

Picking up a water bottle and drinking is great :wahhey: - getting the bottle back in the cage can be ... challenging/daunting ! ;)

Well done @Pat "5mph" ! :bravo:

Well done @Pat "5mph" it's something I have seen other cyclists do but never attempted it myself, after many many years out of the saddle it took me a while to get confident enough to let go with one hand to look back over my shoulder without wobbling. I can now successfully get my haribos from my jersey pocket without so much as a wiggle.

Well, I was actually not practicing or anything, just was thirsty, didn't want to stop, reached for the bottle. After I thought, omg, what have I done, I could have fallen off
Did it again, didn't fall, so I must have finally learned!

Well done. I fitted a bottle cage on GF's bike but she only drinks when we stop. She's only been riding for about 5 years and isn't a very confident or regular rider. She only goes out with me and not at all last year.
You'll soon be wanting to go clipless :becool:.

My son can still do no handed riding better than I.. What, I can't do it... he has my genes.... I blame it on my bikes being so tuned they respond to a micro twitch !!!

Hopefully not all at the same time! ^_^

Still remember when I finally managed to ride no handed, scared me to death and can only do it on straight smooth paths.

The drinking on the move I can do but don't really like doing, prefer to stop a minute.
