It was looking a bit winter scraggly haven't taken much off as it is too wet but nice to see the stripes besides that it meant I couldn't hear DS1 shouting at me for not letting him have playstation/computer! He was an idiot while I went to work to let some workmen in. Broke DS2's new Christmas decoration by taking fun too far and should have known that a strapping 12 year old pulling a santa on a spring was going to end in tears particularly as he was trying to stretch it across the whole room! Surprised the tree wasn't down too. Now I'm a stupid cow for not giving him a chance and saying no screens until 4pm....... first day of holidays is going very well!!!;)

Grass will grow if the temperature is 6 degrees C or above, so yes you did the right thing by cutting it.;-)

Is this a euphimism. Just wondering!

Seems a strange time of year to be tending to the garden.

was a mild day and I was pottering then decided to have a major clear up.

Does it matter that it might be -2 next week ;)

No didn't take much off just tidied, have about 100ft garden and didn't even fill one grass bin it just looks tidier. Main think is not to walk on it if it's frosty or snowy next week.

Can't get on our lawn - it's too soggy and still full of hoof holes after a cow got in from the field and scoffed the grass and most of my wife's plants.

No it doesn't, incase no one has noticed grass is the most successfull plant in the world, it's literaly a Trifid, it will survive all sorts of extreme temperatures.

Well in that case i have managed to find a way of killing trifids.... just can't get any grass to grow in my back garden; 3 Oaks over hanging it and a dog seem to do the trick!

We are talking about mowing the lawn , I take it ?
This isn't a euphemism for , ahem , shaving your wedding tackle , which is the subject of another thread ?
