Just woken up after a night of my knee giving me a little bit of discomfort and I cant walk on my left leg
Im hoping it eases up but its swollen and painful to touch . I don't think it down to cycling as I have been busy this last week so have done less than usual . This is also on my good leg .

A good time to seek medical advice I think. You cannot just guess what it's causing the problem and hope it will go away.

I think youre right . I'm not joking when I said I cant walk . It's not a nice thing to find out when you first wake up ! No signs of any problems with it last night though .
I'm hoping it eases up so I can drive to either the walk in centre or A and E . I'm very worried right now !

Ice it, take ibuprofen, go to the doctor. If you can't drive safely, get a taxi. You don't want an accident with the leg situation potentially causing an insurance problem!

Pill already popped but I didn't think of ice .
Just thinking what I did yesterday to cause it . I was messing about on the river and gave my outboard a new pull chord . Its either kneeling down to work on that or a bite from a river insect .
The cat is showing sympathy and nicked my chair while I hobbled to get the ice pack from the freezer .

Its eased up a lot . I guess it just locked up over night .
Still swollen and hurts to bend any further than my toes off the floor  At least I can put a bit of pressure on it and walk now . I think the Doctors rather than A & E now I can walk .

The last time my knee locked, I had torn a bit of cartilage. After it was flushed out and a couple of days on crutches I was right as rain!
Best getting your doc to check it out!

Could be a torn meniscus if unable to straighten, swollen, painful. Pain along the joint line is a classic sign

Well the sit there for hours centre was packed so I walked in and back out again . I needed to register with the doctor so have to go back tomorrow for a medical and then I can make an appointment to see a doctor .
Its been an interesting morning seeing how many people can totally ignore me when I stand in front of them and look at them .
I think its Bursitis ( house maids knee :girl: ) So it should be ok by the time I get to see the doctor

You need a great big infected lump on your leg to get the nhs interested these days and even then...

Seems that way . It is a big lump , like I have two knee caps but one is bone and the other is squidgy xx( Now it has settled down and I can move my leg i'm not so worried .
Not the same story as this morning ! I had a proper panic on !

I wouldn't leave it Jason, it's a good idea to be registered with a doctor so you might as well find out what is causing this problem.
