...Well today I have to admit defeat. I have battled against heavy rain, cold, howling gales but I am drawing the line at ice. I will not ride today. The cars are still frosted ove ron the drive this afternoon and that tells me that there will be ice lurking in the shadows. I dont want to end up like my sister in law in Germany who hit ice on Monday, came off her bike, and is still in hospital.

Hopefully this cold snap will go away soon.

I don't blame you. That said it is ok off road, all that mud froze over last night so the ground is nice and firm. The only drawback of course being that you normally have to use roads to get to the off road stuff.
