I bet this has been asked a few times, so sorry in advance.

I have looked and couldn't see this question further down, although I'm sure it's been asked. Boardman Hybrid Pro, will it handle bridleways?

Anyone got a Boardman Hybrid pro or know if they're up to light to moderate off road like bumpy bridle paths ex-rail lines etc?

Most of my ride is over tarmac, so other than the deluxe pot holes the council provide for us, it's reasonably smooth, but the people I ride with like the occasional journey along bridleways. Nothing too fast so it's possible to nurse it a bit but I can't help thinking the narrower tyres, carbon forks may just struggle a bit?

Is there a better option for the price? I'm more road orientated than off road/track and not really into the pure mountain bike forest trails etc, but like having options while I'm out.

Cheers.

I reckon it's a psychological thing, moving from an old mtb to something like this, the tyres looked puny and painful.

Hey ho, at least I'm whittling the decisions down. I got it almost clear then over the last few days found out my employer's going to run the C2W scheme next month, which altered the range I was looking at.

Unless someone offers a different view or alternative, all I need to do now is work out if the lower end gearing's much different from my existing so i know how much work I'll have to do to get up hills.

It absolutely will be fine, Mrs FF has the basic Boardman hybrid and it's a great all-round go anywhere kind of bike. The gearing choice is good too, she's a returnee to cycling after a very long lay-off and tackles hills with aplomb thanks to sensible bottom end ratios.
It's a great choice.

Marvelous, I'm really looking forward to it. I don't think I've ever managed to do anything with aplomb before, do I have to buy one or do they come with the package?

Cheers for the feedback, it's very much appreciated.
