the 700X38c tyres on my hybrid commuter are pretty much shredded so a new pair of boots for the old girl are in order, a few criteria though
1) cheap
2)i need a pair
3) they don't need to be incredible as i only do a max of about 10 mile each way journeys on that bike and it's the one that doesn't matter if it falls over on ice, wet, snow etc and i will hopefully be replacing it next year with a proper road bike any way so i don't need the tyres to last many years

would these do the trick?

I never go off a tarmac road pretty much apart from when i get to a farm when i generally ride it up the drive but that normally isn't too bad

Land Cruisers are mentioned in the other thread but if you're staying on the road most of the time you're better off with slick tyres, so I'd recommend the Schwalbe City Jets instead - pretty good and durable for a cheap tyre. (And they'd be fine for an occasional farm track.)

I don't know either of the tyres in your links which in itself would put me off them - if they were any good, they would probably be better known.

Sorry, just realised you want 700C tyres, so that's the City Jets out. But something like the Schwalbe Spicer might be good. You can't generally go too far wrong with Schwalbe IME (except Luganos - nasty tyres).
