hi guys...

First post....

just bought a secondhand Challenge Hurricane SL and the rear air shock doesn't seem to hold pressure (it's the standard OE item).... should I overhaul or replace (when held under water it appears to be losing air from around the adjuster knob)... if replacement is necessary, any suggestions...the CaneCreek AD5 is listed as an original upgrade but it's non-adjustable so would need setting-up prior to fitment?...any others worth considering?

any advice much appreciated

thanks and regards, Steve

Welcome SteveD

Any will do all you have to do is to know what the length is (bolt middle to bolt middle) and have a look to see what you like.

BTW any pic's? we like pic's on here

not having a lot of luck with replacements at reasonable cost.... and seems a bit excessive anyway as all the old shock needs is an overhaul

can anybody identify the brand of adjustable air-shock that Challenge use on the Hurricane SL?

tried contacting the company but no response

thanks Steve

Try TF Tuned - I had a problem with my mtb's shock losing pressure. Sent it to TF tuned for a service and it's been fine since.

does the shock not say anything on it pertaining to what model it is or have any other identifying features? anyway it might not matter if you send it off for a service.
