Drove past the scene on the way home from work.

Not nice seeing the squashed bike, the HGV and a blanket or something in the middle of the road

One of my colleagues cycles this way and saw the scene, the bike was bent in two and there was a lot of blood on the road, sickening.

Really sad. Condolences to the family.

There's no excuse for that really, the road is nice and wide with easy visibility, truck shouldn't have been anywhere near him.

An unbelievable series of trolling comments in the newspaper article - a man has died, and someone thinks it appropriate to use it as an excuse to have a go at cyclists.
