Hull to Holland Ferry - do I HAVE to have a cabin?

Title says it all really - Hull is easier to get to than Harwich, but I don't want to have to pay for an overnight cabin. Ill lock the bike and prowl the decks until sunrise
Anyone else come up against this issue?

you're golden then. It's a dull old crossing mind you - we ended up finding a handy corner with 2 power sockets, plugged the iphones in and availed of the free wifi.
