HTII BB spacers

On a shimano Road crankset.
I've used one on the driveside, as i thought was correct but the non-drive side crankarm is horribly close the chainstay.

Have i got it right?

so does that mean no-one knows?

or is my title not appealing enough?

Whats the situ. w.out the spacers - as ive a prob whereby the c.set is closer to the c.stay RH than the crank arm on the let - to the c.stay than your situ. from what I understand.

I'm sure i should have a campag BB and not a shimano...
