How's this for a handsome looking bike?

I can't think of any bike that I've seen a picture of in the last decade that can match the look of this.

Forget your aero hidden cables, this C40 with the correct choice of components is a thing of beauty.

Great colour scheme but bikes without disc brakes look odd to me. So a solid 9/10 on the handsome scale imo.

where have all the spokes gone? and it doesnt seem to have any pedals, apart from that the seats too high and the handlebars are too big, apart from that the bottle cages are up side down, apart from that I'm sure someone else might like it

I won't be swapping it for mine

Disc brakes look industrial and are fugly in the extreme.

That Colnago OTOH is nearly as nice as my Swallow.

But bikes are industrial, surely?

Wheels are a bit wrong TBH, needs stainless spokes. I'm after a C60, pre disc - keep seeing a few mint ones on ebay.

Colour schemes can really date a bike and not look too great - like some of the 90's schemes. The C60's I'm looking at are black and white - black tubes, white lugs. Doesn't date.

I had my best bike made for me in 1990 as I wanted Dura Ace, but didn't want it on a Colnago (Italian bikes and Japanese components was/is a no-no). So I specced a bike built locally from Columbus SLX, like the Colnago's I wanted. Worked out the same price though. I recently picked up a used Colnago World Cup with 105 (CX bike) but want a C60 with Super Record Mechanical - some tasty used prices currently.
