With great difficulty and probable damage. The tool will only cost a few quid and it'll be yours for life.
 
This is a shocking video TBH, (but others are available), yet it illustrates the fact that YouTube is your friend for all fettling matters.



However, I concur with others that you should get the right tool, (if it's not the one you've got), every job is a million per cent easier with the correct toolage ;)

If in doubt post a pic of your freewheel so people can see the lugs and someone will advise you about which tool you need.
