I pried the badge off the frame before having it painted and now I'd like to put it back to finish off the look of the thing. It has still got one of two lugs attached and is not deformed. Ideally I'd like a fix that was strong but could be broken again if necessary. Failing that I'd just like it stuck down good. I have super glue and an epoxy. Is one of these better than another for this job or is there something else I could use.

Epoxy would be better. The other option could be some 3m double sided tape.

That badge is softer than cheese isn't it? Light too.

Because of that I would be wary of using anything strong if you plan to remove it at some stage, and because it is so light it doesn't need that anyway.

If the lugs are still intact, presumably the holes are still available for these. If these are still usable use them to locate the badge & hold the top in place.Tapping the lug from inside the headtube.
Super glue should hold it only to the paint, not the frame material. I'd go with epoxy.

I'd go for double sided tape or for double-sided gel pads like those used to hold car number plates on. Epoxy or superglue will leave you stuck with the result (if you can excuse the pun)

I used one of those little double sided sticky patches made to hold mirrors on car windscreens. You only get one chance to put the badge on straight as once it sticks it really does stick!
