How to post a bike ?

I'd be very grateful for your tips on how to do this successfully, how best to pack a road bike up, which couriers to use etc.

Ask your LBS for a bike box. Remove wheels and pedals, turn bars towards top tube and tighten. Plenty of bubble wrap, zip ties to make sure bars don't move and jobs a good 'un.

and zip tie the wheels to the frame (with padding between ,,and pedals to a part as well so they dont rattle about and mark something ,,either a wee seperate box or just zip tie them to the spokes or something)
