Looks good. While the plastic curry carton lid worked well I have now gone upmarket.

bought a clipboard in the 99p shop cut it too size and wrapped in Gaffer tape to keep the board dry. Tied to the stem with some bits of old rubber rim tape I had, elastic would have been just as good.

Eventually the wet will probably get through the gaffer tape into the cardboard so will keep an eye out for a plastic one and cut it down to a similar size.

The correx stuff looks a good material, not sure how I could attatch the spring clip to it though.

IMHO GPS is great but takes away the feeling of satisfaction you gain when using a map .I know it also takes away the frustration of going the wrong way on occasions

to improve a very good design i would make the plate v-shaped, so there's no sharp corners to interfere with thighs when climbing out of saddle.

Yes, good point (excuse the pun) there was a little bit of leg / board contact when out of the saddle puffing uphill last week.

I see there's a couple of threads on this question. I'll add my approach here too. I'm working on a new version to be released soon.

I like the way yours is forward of the bars.No knee contact plus I can focus better a bit further from my eyes.

Does the wind get underneath it at speed?
