I have noticed that front brake pads are longer in size than rear pads when you fit front pads do you face the longest part of the pad facing backwards or the other way round
Sorry if I am not making myself very clear on the subject but I guess that you will understand my question
Assuming we're talking rim brake pads? I fitted new ones to my front wheel yesterday and the packaging made it clear that the shorter part faces forwards. Sometimes the pads will have a tiny direction arrow moulded in.
The pads only slot into the holders one way then you put a small screw in to hold in place, so long as the screw is at the rear and the pad cant slide out under braking, you have it in the right way.
