Hello!

I have a edinburgh bicycle revolution country traveller tourer (http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/pro...ller-11?bct=categories/bicycles/touring-bikes) and im wanting to fit a bar bag for touring. Heres the problem, my bike has bar top levers which gives me next to no space left on my handlebars for mounting my GPS and cycle computer. I can fit them now, but I realise to fit a bar bag they need to come off to allow the bag to be fitted. Im looking at the ortlieb bags with klickfix fitting.

Heres my question...

I have a aheadstem that measures 1 1/8 (whatever that means!) along with a stem raiser with the same measurement which I fitted to raise my handlebars.

I see that klickfix make a Quill fitting adapter (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/rixen-kaul-klickfix-quill-fitting/) which fit the ortlieb bags. This may sound really stupid.. But.. Could I purchase this and fit it to my stem raiser? That way I can keep the space on my handlebars for my accessories and still be able to have a bar bag?!

Would that work??

All help appreciated, and of course any better alternatives!

Cheers

I have a Tri-Cross with bar top levers and have fitted a bar bag. Mine is from Edinburgh Cycles but uses the same fitting, I think as the Ortlieb. No problem fitting it just turn the levers down a bit. You can get an attachment to add to the bracket to fit a computer etc. By the way I'm very pleased with the bag which Edinburgh Cycles have on sale for £22.49 http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/pro...ories/accessories/bags/handlebar-bags-baskets

Thanks for the reply! Looks like I could fit a bag on the bars then without needing a klickfix adapter either. For the GPS and Computer ive just spotted the minoura swing grip that attaches to your stem!
