Was given a 2013 GT Karakoram. Fork moves fairly well but starting to squeak and needs service. Mlo works fine

Videos only show the smooth blue cap lockout version where you have no option but to pry it up. This one doesn't have the smooth cap but has the same notches on both sides. Wrench doesn't fit over the lockout lever so I'm thinking this is a pry up too?

Any info would be appreciated

Thanks! (I know it's low end but would still like to service it)

Have a look T ‘RJ the Bike Guy’ on YouTube. He has videos on servicing suspension forks.

Thank but he has an xct video without the mlo. Other videos show the smooth blue cap version but not this one and I'm hoping not to have to guess and maybe wreck something

I also wrote to suntour but figured it would take time to get a reply

I can't remember, but it's either undo the Allen bolts at the base of the legs to withdraw the sliding part, or carefully remove the lockout and laughable sheet preload controls to reveal nuts underneath - there's a special tool required to unscrew the castellated plastic caps.
