How to clean oily brushes?

Bonjour tout le monde

The nice springy weather has got me in a cleaning mood - rare...!

I have here a very oily brush of the funny-shaped curvy thin type wot you ise for cleaning awkward bits, so to speak

How do I get all the bike oil out of it? Anyone know? My limited tactics so far, are not working!

White spirit is an excellent degreaser, but it attacks some plastics and it's a tad smelly. There's plenty of water based degreasers around if you can't or don't want to use white spirit.

New set of 3 brushes from the 99p stores. Use one for greasy, one for cleaner parts and the funny shape one for awkward nooks and crannies.
Renew every month.

WD40 ...

I find WD40 works very well, and it will shift the kind of caked-on, oily, greasy dirt that routinely laughs in the face of water based degreasers. However, the people that make WD40 also have a dedicated degreaser spray, of which I have a can.
