Is it easy to change the bearings in Hope hubs?. My front one, dating from the mid 90's (I think- I can't remember when I changed from Campag and it has gone through quite a few rim changes) has developed a wee bit of play. It's a Bulb or a Mono I think (need to check)

Any special tools needed?

I changed the sealed bearings on my old Hope MTB disk hub. I found a PDF file online somewhere showing how to do it. I bought a pack of bearings on eBay for about £1 a bearing.

I managed to knock the old bearings out by carefully tapping round them with a screwdriver. I knocked the new ones in with an old seat post which happened to be the right diameter!

I stood back in pride, only to discover that I had neglected to install one part so I had to take the new bearings back out and repeat the process!:blush:
