I am trying to attach the above pedals to my crank, and have the 8mm hex key as supplied by Evans in their multi hex key green kit. It states in the instructions that an 8mm allen key is required, but when inserting this, it does nothing to tighten up or even turn the pedals. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Not used a hex key before on pedals, but there is a left hand thread on one side so you need to turn them the 'opposite' way to tighten.
If that makes sense?

I have got them screwed in but it is the tightening that is the problem. Instead of a spanner, they use an allen key from the inside of the crank supposedly, but it does nothing, yet clearly states 8mm on the key itself, which is what the instructions say to use.

Other than one of them being 'reverse' threaded I can't see what else you can do?
Are you sure you've tried turning the hex key both ways?

Yes, I have two, but am now confused which is which. The pedal does look as though it is screwed in, but the hex key doesn't stop if that makes sense, it just keeps turning. Maybe they are ok, there are only a couple of grooves left on the crank that it could go to, but there is just no tight feeling where you have to stop turning.

I'm a bit confused...

either you have the correct size hex key - or you don't.
either the pedals are fully wound-in to the threads on the crank arms - or they aren't.

I was confused too, that's why I was asking the questions on both of these matters.

However, it appears I was having a blonde moment! What I thought was a lid for the allen key is actually the 8mm attachment and underneath it is the 6mm!! I now have the pedals tightened...at last!
