So I've lost my shoes. Wahh wahh. Well, no huge deal I wasn't that keen on the shoes I got, they pinched my little toes a bit and they were 'only' £40. I'll get some new ones and a new set of cleats.

Because replacement cleats can only cost, what, £1.50 or something? I mean it's just a tiny bit of metal and a couple of cheap screws.

The cheapest price I've found for a set of crank brothers cleats is ... SEVENTEEN QUID?!?

WHAT?!?

WHAAAAAT!?!?!?

I only paid £30 for the F-ING PEDALS!

I pair here on ebay going for £5.50 at the mo. Or this pair that are "Buy it Now" at £12.00 + £1.99 p&p. I am always amazed at the price of a pair of cleats. They are just a couple of bits of metal and some screws after all.
How did you manage to loose your shoes anyway?

Just seen your thread on East Midlands Trains and where you left them  .

Thanks, but I expect that auction will go for a lot more, and besides, I need a new pair asap. Had to pay £7 to get a taxi into work this morning and that'll work out more expensive!

It's just insane that amount. They must be worth about, what, 20-30p in manufacturing costs? I'm already feeling a bit sore about paying £10 for new brake pads, but £17 for CLEATS?!?

I've just sent a rant off to Crank Brothers. Let's see what they have to say about it.

Given what they can cheerfully ask for a set of wheels, I expect they'll have a quiet giggle and then ignore you...........! http://www.wiggle.co...set/5360045175/

I may have an old pair knocking about. I'll PM you if I can find them.

It takes the p##s doesn't it. The Shimano SPD cleats are £14.99 for a pair from Wiggle at the moment (usual price = £17.99)... you can buy a set of M520 pedals INCLUDING cleats for £19.99 !!!

Feckin' scam.
