How much are these worth? Nike shoes size 7

First of all im not sure if this should be in this section or the sale section so if admin would gratefully help me out and move it, ifs in the wrong section thanks.

My brother has given me two pairs of cycling shoes only problem is that their to small for me as im size 9. I was wondering if someone could shed some light and tell me how much these are worth as I will be selling them.

The first pair are Nike Lance 10/2 which he brought for approx £150

They are in perfect condition and i have a feeling my brother didn't even wear them. They have a great spec with a carbon fibre sole.



The second pair are Nike Alpin 2 which he brought for approx £100

This pair has been worn only a handful of times and are in great condition.

So hopefully some of you ever so friendly people on this forum may tell me how much these are worth, also these will be for sale in the very very near future. Thanks

The trouble with second hand clothing is that correct fit is the most important factor, which makes them difficult to sell online. For instance, I need a new pair of off-road shoes and these could be the right size, but I would be reluctant to pay much for something I hadn't tried on. Even if I could send it back, once you have added in the cost of postage....

You will probably get your best price from someone local to you, although it might be worth moving this to Classifieds/Sale first.

As to price, I would have said half to 2/3 of the new price, even if they are very little used.

considering you can get them for very little now, they're not worth a lot.

But then this is only in this section because you can't post in classifieds yet, isn't it...

My personal opinion; 2nd hand shoes are just not something I would buy unless very cheap, regardless of their spec. I reckon £40 is the absolute tops I'd pay for the 10/2s and I'd not be interested in the Alpins at all.

Steve: In one sence of mind they are in this section as you said I can't post it in classified ads yet. But on the other hand I genuinely dont know the value of these hence being in placed in this section. As many other forums I have been on before, an item in the classified section has to have a price.
