Hello

Simple question...

How do I change the bulb on this rear (dynamo) light? There doesn't seem to be any obvious way to do this.
I thought I'd ask before doing something stupid and end up cracking the plastic or something.

I think the rear bulb is fused and needs replacing. Thanks.

(The camera flash makes the light look like it's working)

If its this one

http://www.bumm.de/docu/download/327as-e.pdf

(you may need to cut and paste this address into your browser as the direct link just seems to take you to the front page)

Found that here http://www.bumm.de/index-e.html in the bit downloads - instruction leaflets

I'd contact the manufacturer - address on the leaflet. Though someone else may tell you how....

No direct experience of this light but...

... Aaargh! PatrickPending got in with a reply while I was Gooooogling! This link jumps directly to the instructions : Instructions (well, I hope it does! dashed tricky things these hyperlinks)

Great instructions, though! If it breaks, fix it, we just won't tell you how.

And is anyone else faintly amused by their url? bumm.de <snigger>

Good find, those instructions. Many thanks for your help.
There were some sort of L-shaped molded plastic tab things on the lower edge close to the rear rack mounting bolts.
These had to be prised to remove the plastic cover.
Yes, the bulb was fused.
Where can you get these sorts of bulbs from?

as suggested Maplin

http://www.maplin.co...bulbs-and-lamps

take the old bulb in - though it should say on the side of the bulb the voltage and current specs.....

remember once going to hardistys cycles in newcastle asking for a bulb once many years back - they looked at me as if i was mad for cycling in the dark!
Cheers, mate. Rating is 6V 0.1A.
Might just get a multimeter whilst I'm down there - keep meaning to treat myself to one!

That's the fella.
So, I guess I'd need the 6Volt, 0.6Watt, right?
W=V x A= 6 x 0.1 = 0.6W

I'm not too hot on the eletrical calcs, but that's how I think it works...

yep thats the one, take the old one in just in case - theyre pretty helpful at Maplins
