For wheels to bed in and loosen up, I have had a new set of RS31'S since middle july, and although they spin very good off the floor can the bearings be too tight on the ground being ridden, reason im asking is it feels like something is holding me back, bike is a new cannondale supersix evo since start of august, and was using on a T3 before that and felt the same, tyres are new mitchelin lithiun 2's and front is 100 and rear 116 psi, also i don't tighten the skewers tight, just enough to pinch them, brakes arn't touching either, could i back the bearings off a bit or has anyone got other suggestions.

If the wheels are spinning well, and nothing is rubbing (brakes, mudguards etc), then it's unlikely to be the wheels! Backing the bearings off more will result in play in the bearings.

Have a guess how old the bloke who came 3rd in the National 25 mile TT (with a 30+ mph ride) this year is!
