a few options:

1. if you have spacers above the stem move them to below

2. buy a stem with a greater angle of rise

3. buy a special a-head riser adaptor; it clamps the steerer tubr and then you attach your stem to it (they look rubbish but do the job)

4. buy new forks with a longer un-cut steerer tube

and possibly 5. change the steerer tube on the forks (not always possible; depends on the forks you have)

5. flip the stem so it slopes up rather than down (if it is the sloping kind)
02GF74 - by coincidence, I have the same type of stem on my Basso and the same problem. I flipped the stem and it makes a big difference. It doesn't look great but I have a camera bag attached to the stem and that's what people tend to notice.

yeah, I know I can flip the stem over but then the logo will be upside down. trying to come to terms with that ....

I know that some stems have the logo printed up both ways.... still looking for one but I have old standard bars (1 inch) plus old standard headset (1 inch) so there are few avaialbe for my size.

replacng my lovely carbon forks is not an option.
