Lol true, it could be freezing cold and raining

On a related note, I suffer from hayfever and it is really bad at the moment. But when I was on my bike into town I didn't sneeze once. In the town, sneezing like mad. Home; nothing, now back in my house and I'm sneezing away!

Forecast for a high of 38c today. I can believe it, our thermometer is reading 40.

Too damned hot for me in any case whatever the number is. I'm staying put indoors. It's the only time of the year that I'm thankful that I live in a stone house. They really do stay cool.

Lovely!

One time I got sunburned like that I had my sunglasses on, as you do. So I had a big white stripe across my face, plus stripey arms (inside white, outside red). My boss then called me 'The Boro Badger'

Well if you don't like the heat, come on up to the west of Scotland. I have just been out for a quick ride. Put a fleece on "just in case" and I am so glad I did! Even so it was well chilly. Just checked the met office map and found out why. 11c just now . What is going on with the weather in this place; it really is unbelievable that a couple of hundred miles can make such a huge difference, and consistently so. I need to emigrate .

Brandane, yeah that does sound pretty crazy. I did a couple of jobs up in Ayr, a few years ago and yes, it did rain both times IIRC

I only really notice how hot it is when I have to stop, damn those traffic lights.

Delighted to see someone else that does indeed STOP at red lights.... even in these temperatures! Good moment to take a mouthful of water though :-)

I knew there was a good reason for going out at 5.00 this morning for my ride. Mind you, even then by the time I got home I was in dire need of a good refreshing shower!

And I had to pick today to do hill work  Even with the usual wind over Old Bets, still melted a few pounds of fluid off....And a nice shade of crimson to match, even with factor 50 phew, a few more like this and I will disapear pooff.
