Mark raised a good point in his milage milestones post

So how far have you ridden without stopping ?
(excluding obligatory stops eg traffic lights/Jam/Hedge stops etc)

I think mine would only be about 25-30 miles

about 44 miles but the last few were a desperate search for somewhere to get food and drink. I find I need a break after 30 miles and prefer no more than 25 miles.

Can't apply that, all my leisure cycling is MTB stuff so I stop pretty frequently for various reasons - getting stuck in the mud, falling off, twigs trapped in drivetrain, etc.

Frequently do 100+ miles non stop, 2 water bottles on the bike, another 2 or 3 plastic 500ml bottles in my back pockets, which get used up first, crushed and dumped in a bin, and as much food etc that I can pack in my back pockets and small under saddle bag along with spare inner tube, mini tool etc. Sometimes I may use a musette if I think that I may need more fluids etc.

When your on your own, I feel theirs too many thieving scumbags about to be leaving your bike outside shops, carrying a heavy lock is not an option, so its careful planning required.

80 miles. like zacklaws i acrried as much as possible, i do stop to buy extra fluid if needed does that count as a stop, i do get straight on and top my bottles on the move

Probably a fair way but the only time I can be sure I didn't stop is during time-trials, and the longest I've done is only 50 miles. So 50 miles then.

There are a fair few time-triallists who must've done some very long stretches without stopping- presumably comfort breaks are few and far between on a 24 hour TT.

In the 1920s my grandfather did Tooting to Hastings and back on his fixed wheel bike without stopping - 120 miles round trip. He also cycled from Rugby to Torquay in one day to meet his parents on holiday - about 200 miles. He started at 3am and stuffed newspapers down his jersey to keep warm!

Not this year (so far) but 45 miles would have been my longest non stop rides last year...once i get over 3 hours in the saddle i always think it's nice to stop and have a pint or sit down and enjoy the view.

It's probably thirty or so for me ( miles not minutes ) But it's time rather than miles that dictate when I stop. By two hours or so my old bones start to creak and groan and I get a numb bum.
