how easy is it to convert a compact to a triple?

I'm looking to convert my.bianchi.c2c from a compact to a triple . Can it be done? What is best ans cheapest way? Can I just ad a third cog or do I need a cpmplete New groupset?
What about the shifter?

I was going to say new groupo, but thinking about it one new shifter, new crankset and new front mech.

I think you have Campy gear on that bike - so the existing lever will do.

You just need a new crankset and front mech.

Next silly question....what size smaller cog should I get? Has to be campag right? ..erm..yes its got campag veloce shifters.

You will also need a new(longer) BB spindle.

As said I think the Campag levers (three positions) will let you use your existing shifters but beyond that I don't know much.

As accountantpete said you need a new chainset, you won't be able to keep your existing compact and add a new smaller third cog. Triplelizers exist, but best not go there.
