how do you choose the drop and reach of road bars?

there are so many to choose from i dont know which ones will be right. i cannot imagine an LBS will change loads for me and mostly they only stock a fwew names not a whole range of maunfacturers.

i like the idea of a wing top i want my hoods to be falt from the wing but then i find the drops sre on a funny angle which is uncomfortable, not that i use drops much, maybe that is why.

any suggestions

If you are refering to 'anatomically' shaped bars then have a look at 3T bars - different shaped curve and the cheap alloy one is about £40 - although not a wing shape. FSA doa wing shape one with a similar curve but its more like £80.
