If you want to remove certain forums from your New Posts list you can do it via the Ignore New Posts add-on.
Click on your username (top right) and select the Ignore New Posts link at the bottom right of the drop-down:
You'll be presented with a list of forums that you can ignore / exclude:
Tick all of the forums that you'd like to exclude from your New Posts search results and then scroll down to the bottom and click Save.
That's it - you're done!
