Hi All,

I had decided to purchase a pair of Shimano R076 SPD-SL and Look Pedals to go with the new road bike, but the Bike Dock (I'm using the C2W) wont have any in until September and I don't want to have to wait that long.

I intend to use the bike to commute or dedicated rides so didn't feel the need to look at SPDs and I had also seen someone comment about getting Hotspots with the SPDs on the forum.

The choice of SPD-SLs in my price bracket is limited from the Bike Dock. The question is, should I stick with the SPD-SLs or give the SPDs such as the Shimano M076s ago?

For my winter and training bikes I use Shimano A520's, a single sided touring pedal with a cage but IMO still look good on a road bike, I get no hot spots on the couple of hundred milers I've done and they offer the benefits of being walkable but you'll need mtb shoes as opposed to the road shoes; I use spesh bg mtb sport and again in my opinion they don't look out of place on the club run.
