hospital DVT socks...

..any good as socks for compression whilst running.

my father has just been in hosp for an op and had to wear sock whilst op was on hand. can i use these sock for a while as compression socks?

They're useful for when you've finished your training. I seem to remember they were worn by Bradley Wiggins after stages of last year's TDF. Helps recovery apparently
