Hopwas Hays Wood

Anyone have any experience of Hopwas Hays Wood near Tamworth? I've read a few things about it elsewhere but they were all 4 or 5 years old.

It's about half an hour from me and I want to know if it's worth the journey. I know that Cannock Chase is better, but it's twice as far away and the 2 hour round trip makes it difficult to find the time to get there.

Years ago I used to ride in there 10 years ago and it wasn't nothing like Cannock - Cannock would be worth the extra drive.

I'd already read that thread, but thanks anyway .

The time saved by not going all the way to Cannock Chase would be the difference between getting muddy any staying home. I'll just have to get out there and try it for myself!
