Hello,
After 20+ yrs off getting unfit and not really riding, ive decided to start again.
Im currently 120kg and 6' 3" , ive got a B Twin Rockrider 5.3 MTB and a Dolan road bike, a 4 mile ride on the MTB currently leaves my legs like rubber, this is really frustrating as i used to think nothing of going 20~30 miles with ease.
As for the road bike.... it feels so strange to ride and almost feel unsafe, probably because what little riding ive done has been on the MTB.
Anyway im gonna try and do a ride of 3-4 miles every other day and see if i start and find things getting easier.

thanks for reading

That is normal, it will take a bit of time for your body to get in shape and less shock !

Most people initially find road bikes more difficult to control (feeling unsafe as described by you). This feeling will go as you get familiar with it.

Well done, keep it going and (as you are doing very well) do not over do it.

Well done!
I've gone back to cycling after 6 or 7 years away, mainly to get fit and lose weight, but I do love cycling!
Slow and steady, and just try and enjoy it....you'll be surprised how quickly you will get back into it!
