Hope headsets

Does anyone have experience of these?

I now have my new Salsa Primero road frame and am thinking of having it built up with one of these rather than a Chris King headset.

Any views would be appreciated.

Had one on my Orange P7 and thought it was a cracking piece of kit, silky smooth and low maintenance due to the seals. Would happily have one again.

Have an early one on my Vertex which was impossible to adjust properly from day one. Turned out that the top race was faulty and was obliged to replace the whole top assembly as one unit because the bearing races werent removeable. Apparently it was a common problem. Current Hope headsets do have removeable bearing races and the problem seems to have been resolved.

In spite of this I recommend them, lovely headsets, specially in gowald anodised.

hope headsets do rule but CK headsets rule even more.

I've been using a hope Headset on my Mountain Bike for about 1 year now, really impressed, and like all Hope stuff it's beautifully made.
