Hi, me again lol

got me hope mono minis through and my old adapter of my juicys wont fit even though 1 lbs said it they were universal, its in another lbs atm and they are stumped as well, the rotor is 160mm (i think lol) and its for back wheel, said i need a 'post mount to IS 160mm' but when i show him this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hope-Disc...sure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item2a02eccefa said its to small for rear, so is it easier just sticking a 140 rotor on the back? and said this wont fit on for some reason http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hope-Disc...sure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item41652bfbba , so confused like on it all, thanks again!

p.s how do i shorten links and put into a click able word

For a 160mm rear rotor you will need the Type F Hope adapter (adapter in your second link), the Type A (adapter in your first link) is IS to post mount 160 front, and 140 rear.

Have a look here at what Hope actually spec:

I hope this makes sense.

ahhh thanks m8, with the pic, i can understand alot easier ^_^ time to order 1 and wait yet another few days to get me bike back
I have a used Shimano bracket that will mount a PM caliper onto a IS frame fiting, rear, for a 160 rotor. If you want it I'll post it to you for £6.00

The problem is that is an IS mount brake caliper, not a post mount, this is an older Hope design, and it would normally be fixed directly onto the rear IS mount on the frame with no adapter and a 140mm rotor, so you have two choices, fit it straight to the frame and use 140mm rotor, or get an adapter that is IS to IS spaced to fit the larger rotor, I'll look for he right bracket and get you pic in a short while.

This is what I think you need, it will fit the post mount at the rear on the frame and then fit the caliper, it will move it out from 140mm rotor to fit a 160mm rotor:

Here is a pic of what you need to do, does this look right.
still not right m8, thanks for all your help though, here is a pic of bike fitting

I undertsand now, the only thing that I can see from Hope that may work is one of these:

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=13735

This is actually for the front fork post mount to IS caliper, it may fit your bike at the rear, and it lifts the caliper out to fit a 160mm on the front, apart form tat, the only suggestion would be to use a 140 rotor with the adapter you have, one of these would look pretty good:

I hope this helps.

A picture of the adapter in the previous post, this obviously shows it on the front forkss of a bike.

1st way:

2nd way:

there a few mm to high to grip full rotor edge which could cause few problems with pads and evening them out so back to square 1
p.s ignore the dirt, its been lying there for few weeks and sick of the site of it till its sorted xD
