so I have been looking at these wheel sets I have heard the hope rear hub and it sounds amazing but which wheel would you buy I think they both the same price at £1000 any one had any experience with these wheels
I've got a pair of Hunt 4 seasons on my gravel bike. I've only done 50 or so on/off road miles so far, but they do the job perfectly... and the freewheel makes a good noise.
Hunt all day long, very underestimated carbon wheel that in test have proven their worth against wheels twice the price, plus low weight and tubeless ready, win win.
Hope free hub is noise IMO, nice wheels but noisy. I bought a set of Hunt 4Season Gravel Disc wheels but have still to try them out. The reviews HUNT receives are always very good. View attachment 340201
I like the loud noise as I ride a lot in london. How much did they cost you?
Have you stopped using them how come many people don't know/ talk about them are they really that bad?
The Hope hubs I have were built for me a couple of years ago, at first I enjoyed the buzzing noise they made, but after a long day in the saddle it becomes annoying. I tend to keep pedalling as much as possible when I'm using them so that I don't need to listen to them.
The Hunt wheels I've not used yet, they arrived just in time for the local authorities to be spreading salt on the roads so they're not being taken out until the salt has gone. The Hunt wheels are around £369.00 on their website and the Hope wheelset were made locally at a cost of around £250 with Ambrosio Excellight SSC rims and Sapim spokes
