Not sure about the answer when it comes to disc brakes but I'd advise against posting your email in a public forum, unless you like being inundated with spam.

So do mine, Shimano M485. I've contacted Shimano and they said to take my bike to the shop and they'd get the callipers removed and sent back for inspection.

I said 'Don't think so' as I'm not leaving my bike in the shop for weeks whilst they fart around and they've offered to send a pair of callipers out to the shop to be swapped over. Result and hats off to Shimano.

What kind of brakes do you have and what have you tried?

Yes, works for mine for some noises, but sometimes they get really noisy anyway for some reason and as they wear down a bit over the ride the noise goes away, so who knows.

It can't hurt to remove one possible area for vibrations, though maybe the OP just has a musical set of brakes.

Fold some Aluminium foil into shape ( so it doesn't fall out ) with some copperease between the folds. Put this 'shim' between pad and piston.
On motorcars, brass shims are used. The brass sheet can be bought from hobbyist shops.

I thought about something like that but I doubt there would be room on the average bike brake. With new pads they don't clear the disk by much at all.

Squeeking discs are normally a sign that somethings out of align or just that the pads need changing.

However, some models just seem to refuse to shut up no matter what you do.
