home made light mounts

My defy 2 seems to have fat handle bars. Any thing that comes with a bracket never fits. I have seen some lights that come with some sort of o ring mount that looks like a rubber band ? Is it possible to knock some thing up with an old tub maybe ?
Or will I have too buy one of them space saver bar type things maybe

What lights are you buying that don't fit your handle bars?
Look for lights which have adjustable brackets and fit 31.8mm bars.

I've made a few custom mounts, mostly using reflector brackets and screws.

I basically have a couple of cheap lights from halfords at the moment and a camera. I will be a getting a proper light soon though for my birthday in november which will hopefully come with a decent mount
