Holme Moss -suicide mission?

I'm coming from overseas for the Grand Depart. We'll be staying near Harrogate from the Thursday before, and I think we'll probably watch stage 1 somewhere like West Tanfield.

I am considering getting up very early (04:30) on the Sunday and trying to drive to the huge carpark that is supposed to be west of Holmfirth (on the A635/Greenfield Road) and walking up to Holme Moss

I would appreciate your opinion as to whether this is feasible,or indeed, a suicide mission!

IMO a suicide mission.

I reckon 200,000 peeps could try and get on Holme Moss.

You could try - I live nearby and am not even trying, although I'm riding back from Hawes on Day 1.

Instead I'm going to Woodhead Pass, which is just after Holme Moss. It's uphill and (should) be quieter.
